How He Really Feels –Lisa Suzanne

This is the first book in the “He Really Feels” series by Lisa Suzanne, and I have to stay I am so glad that I have was able to review both books that are available in this series, because I honestly really did love this series!

There is just so much I love in this first book…

Julianne – I really do love her, although there were times I was pretty sure I wanted to smack her!  I get it though, she has to choose between the one who is “comfortable” and the one you know will take work but is it worth it.

Nick- The boss…he is the classic sweetheart.  He does have his not so nice moments as well, but really I think his heart is in the right place.

Travis – Have you ever had that best friend? You know the one, the one of the opposite sex that is always there for you, and is willing to do anything for you. And you share your most intimate details with them? Yup that is Travis – I LOVE HIM!

Lucy, Jake, and Holly – Coworkers who are all part of a group of friends.

So this story takes you through Julianne’s point of view. Her life is not without struggles and confusion.  There are times in this story I was fighting for her and times I really wasn’t on her side.  There are points when she made me so angry with her, then I thought about it and found myself on her side again. As much as I love a book with hot sex and sweet guys, I also like one that makes me think. Lisa Suzanne did a great job of making me put myself in the position of the characters and wondering how I would really feel.

I would give this book 4 out of 5 stars.

After reading How He Really Feels it is a MUST to follow this book up with What He Really Feels.  This is a story you don’t want to miss out on. It is told from the boy’s point of view and it is awesome! There are so many things in this story that make you go “yea I could totally see a guy thinking that.” Because this story is written from the male point of view it has so many little things that just made me chuckle. I couldn’t help but laugh at some of the ridiculous things that were going through his head. Although a bit silly, and at times immature, (all the more realistic) this character is beyond sweet and knows what he wants and is determined to get.  There are plenty of hot scenes in this book, and  once again, moments when you want to smack the characters.

Lisa Suzanne in both of these books pulled true emotion from me. Anger, laughter, sadness, and even the occasional feeling of depression, because of the loss the characters were going through.

Over the last few days, while reading, I have really felt like these characters were in my life, or I was in theirs. An absolutely awesome job by Lisa Suzanne for her first two books! I can’t wait to read more from her!

What He Really Feels gets  4 out of 5 stars as well.
